The Digital Key is managed through the Mercedes Me app and stored in the phone's secure element. Physical key replacement is handled separately from Digital Key. Replacing the physical key does not affect any active Digital Key configurations in the Mercedes Me account.
AMG performance models offer the AMG Digital Display Key, which adds a touchscreen to the standard fob showing vehicle performance data, tire pressures, and selected drive mode.
